Spring at the Grove 2023

WHEN: Saturday, March 18th, 10:00 am to 2:00 pm

WHAT: Join the Olive Grove Congregational Methodist Church for Craft Vendors, Bake Sale, Food Trucks, Inflatables, Easter Egg Hunt, and even a visit from the Easter Bunny! The Easter Bunny will be inside for you to take pictures with from 11-1 pm (free!). The Easter Egg Hunt will begin at 1:30 at the top of the hill. Learn more. 

Kingwood Church Special Needs Easter Egg Hunt

WHEN: Saturday, March 25th, 10:30 am

WHAT: Kingwood Church is excited to host an “Eggstra Special Easter Egg Hunt” for special needs! Learn more. 

Oasis Easter Egg Hunt

WHEN: Saturday, April 1st, 8:00 am to 11:00 am

WHAT: Join Oasis of Praise for their 2023 Easter Egg Hunt! They will kick off with a FREE pancake breakfast so join early for a great meal! Learn more. 

5th Annual Spring Fling at Medders Farm

WHEN: Saturday, April 1st, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm

WHAT: This FREE annual community-wide egg hunt and craft fair features over 50 vendors with all types of amazing items plus a food truck area for all your snacking and lunch needs. Egg hunts for all ages will be at 10:30am and 2:30pm (choose either time for any age). This event is a benefit for MHS Marching Band, and donations will be greatly appreciated for their hard work. Also, there’s free parking! Learn more. 

Easter Egg Hunt (Doggies Too!) & Spring Market at Oak Mountain State Park

WHEN: Saturday, April 1st, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm

WHAT: Egg hunts are planned for ages up to 12 years old — and even your pups are included in the fun! (The last hunts of the day are reserved for the dogs.) The Easter Bunny will be meeting-and-greeting, the Rusted Roof Barn is bringing some of their rescue horses for $5 rides, and the Alabama Wildlife Center will be there with their trained, education raptors. Community Easter Egg Hunt – Bluff Park UMC

WHEN: Saturday, April 1st, 9:30 am to 10:30 am

WHAT: Join Bluff Park UMC for their annual Easter egg hunt! This is a HUGE community event with areas for toddlers/preschoolers as well as elementary aged kids, so everyone gets a shot at hunting! Learn more. 

Hunt the Heights in Cahaba Heights

WHEN: Saturday, April 1st through Sunday, April 9, 10:00 am to 5:00 pm

WHAT: Hunt the Heights from April 1 through April 9th. Cahaba Heights Merchants will be hiding Easter Eggs filled with Goodies and Discounts in businesses in Cahaba Heights. Learn more. 

Homewood Parks Easter Egg Hunt

WHEN: Saturday, April 1st, 10:00 am

WHAT: Head to Homewood Senior Center for prizes and a photo op with the Easter Bunny. Egg hunts are organized by age for babies up to 10 years old — remember to bring your baskets for the hunt! The first hunts begin at 10 am for the littlest ones and end at noon for the oldest ones. Learn more. 

Birmingham Zoo Easter Egg Hunt “Egg-sperience”

WHEN: Saturday, April 1st, 10:00 am to 1:00 pm

WHAT: Hope on over to the Henley Park in the Birmingham Zoo for egg hunts staggered by age, including over 10,000 hidden eggs! This event is free for zoo members and is included in the price of admission for non-members. Learn more. 

2nd Annual Community Easter Egg Hunt

WHEN: Saturday, April 1st, 10:00 am to 1:00 pm

WHAT: Come out & enjoy a morning filled with games, prizes, refreshments, and of course an Easter Egg Hunt put together by Our Light Ministry, Dunnavant Community Center & friends throughout the community!! We even heard the big guy, EB, might possibly show up!! Learn more. 

Birmingham Zoo Adult Easter Egg Hunt

WHEN: Saturday, April 1st, 11:15 am to 12:00 pm

WHAT: Hop on over for the Birmingham Zoo’s Adult Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 1 from 11:15 am-12:00 pm!  Each participant will find 1 egg on the Trails of Africa playground and bring it to our prize table to redeem their exclusive prize. The exclusive prizes included certificates provided by area businesses, special Zoo tours, memberships, and much more all valued at $50 or greater. WHEN: Saturday, April 1st, 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm

McCalla-Bessemer Community Egg Hunt

WHEN: Sunday, April 2nd, 2:00 pm  to 4:00 pm, with food trucks beginning at noon

WHAT: Pleasant Hill UMC is hosting this community-wide event, including an egg hunt at 3:00 pm. There will be inflatables, face painting, food trucks, games, and more! Entrance and activities are free, but be sure to bring food truck money. WHEN: Sunday, April 2nd, 2:30 pm  to 4:30 pm

UAB Dragon Egg Hunt

WHEN: Thursday, April 6th, halftime of UAB’s spring game at approximately 7:15 pm

WHAT: UAB Athletics is excited to host the annual Dragon Egg Hunt on Thursday, April 6. Each year this family-friendly event has grown in size, and this year it moves to Protective Stadium. Children ages 12 and under are invited to participate in an egg hunt on the field of Protective Stadium while watching the Blazers before their inaugural season in the American Athletic Conference. Easter Eggstravaganza Hunt at Wald Park

WHEN: Friday, April 7th, 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm

WHAT: Visit the baby animal petting zoo, take a picture with the Easter Bunny, make a craft and find a prize egg. This non-competitive, relaxed egg hunt is for children ages 6 and under. Learn more. 

BHC Easter Park Day

Shades Mountain Baptist Church Special Needs Community Egg Hunt

WHEN: Saturday, April 8th, 9:30 am to 12:00 pm

WHAT: The Shades Mountain Baptist Special Needs Ministry is hosting a Community Easter egg hunt for those who have children or students with developmental disabilities. There will be egg hunts to accommodate varying levels of ability, as well as games, crafts, raffles, and more! Learn more.

Easter Eggspress at Heart of Dixie Railroad Museum

WHEN: Saturday, April 8, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm (trains depart at 10:00 am, 1:00 pm, and 3:00 pm)

WHAT: If you’d like to forego the scrambling for sugary eggs, you can have a peaceful time on the train, instead. Every family onboard will get a photo and special treat from the Easter bunny himself. On the museum grounds, there will be a variety of free activities and crafts to enjoy, as well as secret golden eggs that can be redeemed for prizes. There will be vendors and food trucks, as well. Sixth Annual Easter Bunny Tea Party – Columbiana

WHEN: Saturday, April 1st, 1:00 pm

WHAT: The Easter Bunny Tea Party will be held on Saturday, April 1 and starts at 1 p.m. in the Grand Hall at Old Mill Square. Kristina is the Social Media Manager for Birmingham Mom Collective. She was born and raised in Seattle, Washington and moved to Helena at the end of 2019. She spent her early career working in the Psychology Department at the University of Washington as a Research Study Coordinator, and later transitioned to working at the UW Center for Child and Family Well-being as a Program Operations Specialist. After Kristina met and married her husband Landon (a traveling RN) in 2015, they ended the year with a cross country road trip and spent the next couple years traveling for Landon's work, bringing whatever they could cram into their Honda Civic. Her biggest adventure, however, has been becoming a stay-at-home-boy-mom to two active little boys! Kristina runs on caffeine and loves exploring the Birmingham area, being involved at church, trying out new recipes, doing at-home workouts in her closet, and being outside with her boys.
