Of course, moms know that there’s a direct correlation between school’s end and the increase in the usage of the word bored. Not this year! The Birmingham area has a plethora of amazing camp opportunities for kids of all ages and abilities. We would love to help you find the right fit for your young adventurers!
Tippi Toes Dance of Birmingham

Come along on a fantastical journey of the imagination with Tippi Toes Dance of Birmingham as we enjoy crafts and games, sing, learn all about being a princess and learn dances of course! Campers will enjoy activities such as making unicorn slime, acting out familiar fairy tales and stories, learning princess manners, making mermaid jewelry, learning several dances to a perform at the end of the week… and more! Our Hip Hop campers will even get to create their own choreography and tie dye “costumes” for a performance! Each camp theme is just a little different and offer unique experiences! Camps are for children 3-12. Space is limited.

Deer Run Camps & Retreats

Dawson Music Academy

Whether campers are new to music or have played an instrument for years, they will enjoy a music camp experience tailor made for them. Preschool and elementary campers enjoy a week of hands-on musical fun and learning activities. Elementary campers explore the instrument of their choice (guitar, piano, percussion, ukulele, violin, or voice) in small group instrument sessions with 6-10 campers who possess similar musical skills. In addition to musical exploration activities, campers also enjoy rec games, art electives, and fun team building activities. Register today to start your musical adventures!
S.H.E. Camp

S.H.E Camp stands for Sisterhood, Humor, and Empowerment! This one-week day camp teaches girls empowerment skills through comedy and improv. Taught by SheCamp co-creator Jessica Antes and Julia Diferdinando. Both have extensive experience as actors, writers, comedians, and teachers, and both trained or have worked at Chicago’s prestigious The Second City (where many SNL actors, and noted comics and girl power icons Tina Fey and Amy Poehler trained!). For girls ages 9-12 and 13-16 – While the two sessions are similar in mission and goals, the older group will tackle more advanced comedic styles and activities while the younger group will be more imagination/play/and team work focused. Both sessions will conclude with a final virtual showcase open to family and friends.

iD Tech Camps for Kids & Teens

Highlands School

Highlands School’s Higher Degree of Learning does not end when the school year is over. We offer a quality summer program that includes challenging activities, talented teachers, and the great variety that you have come to expect from Highlands School.
All campers are welcome! Our Summer Camp is open to all students in the Birmingham-metro area, with some programs open to students entering 4K through the 11th grade. At Highlands, we offer unique opportunities, some specifically tailored to your child’s age group. We strive to offer camps and activities that will enable your child to continue to learn while having a great time!
Please note: all camps indicate the grade the child will be attending in the fall.
Living River: A Retreat

Where is Living River? Living River is located one hour from Birmingham, outside of Montevallo. We are located on 440 acres of woodlands surrounded by 4 ½ miles of the Cahaba River. Our cabins and dining hall are air conditioned and only 8 years old.
What type of Camp is Living River? Living River Summer Camp is a residential (sleep-away) church camp.
What do you do at Living River Summer Camp? We stay in bunk cabins, have Bible study, canoe, kayak, and float in the river and lake, hike, do archery, play GaGa ball, fish, have camp fires with s’mores, play field games, sing for our supper, have a talent show, hunt for fossils, do crafts, earn Bible beads, grow in our faith, make friends, and have fun!
Mason Music

Camp SVS

All camp classes and activities are facilitated by Spring Valley faculty who are trained in a multi-sensory, whole-child approach to learning which accommodates all learning styles and strengths!
Mornings will be filled with writing/reading, multi-sensory math, and executive functioning classes. In the afternoon, campers will have art, STEAM, and environmental awareness.
Please note: Camp is open to ALL kids, rising 1st – 8th grades, not only those with learning differences.
Camp Woodmont

Camp Woodmont is an overnight camp for boys & girls ages 6 to 14; located on Lookout Mountain, just 2 hours north of Birmingham. The summer camp experience provides cabin living, cool evenings around the campfire, creative counselors, new friends, talent/skit nights, and a close family-like atmosphere. Staff to camper ratio averages 1:5. Accreditation by the American Camp Association (ACA) and two generations of family management/ownership (70+ years combined experience) gives campers and parents a highly supervised program.
Summer Camps at Alabama School of Fine Arts

Make your summer count this year with summer camps at Alabama School of Fine Arts. A variety of camps in the arts and sciences are offered throughout June 2022. Camps for the young app designer and computer scientist to the budding visual artists to the next great musicians, poets, and novelists.
