Birmingham
Hello! My name is Cassidy. I have lived in Birmingham my whole life. Birmingham is a fun place to live and raise kids because anything you could want to learn or teach them is within easy driving distance. As a homeschool mom, this has been a great benefit for us. We can study science at the Zoo or McWane Center, explore the arts at the art museum, and go hiking as a family through real waterfalls at some of the excellent Birmingham area parks. It’s a wonderful city to be able to learn in an active, hands-on environment.
Moms
I am an entrepreneur who works from home and I homeschool my two boys, ages 7 and 2. My boys are the quintessential “Frogs, snails, and puppy dog tails” kind of boys. Whether it’s cowboys, dinosaurs, or going on adventures they love to be outside and exploring. We do a lot of balancing acts around here to juggle running a company with raising two boys but I feel like I’m living a dream. My oldest son is smarter than me and the conversations he has with me are priceless. My youngest son is possibly the bravest boy I’ve ever known while being the sweetest and always ready to offer a hug. Being a mom is one of the wildest adventures but also the most rewarding.

I’m excited to be a contributor for Birmingham Moms Blog because I enjoy connecting with other moms and sharing those fun stories and experiences that only other moms will truly understand or laugh about with me. I hope to help other families feel empowered, inspired, and less alone in their journey with what I am able to share. We follow a strict diet at home, but I still love French food, so I write a lot about adapting European recipes for families with food allergies. You’ll also see plenty of articles about what it’s like to run a business from home while raising two boys. So nice to meet all of you!
