However, the most exciting thing of all is putting up my tree with family.

Now is the time to deck the halls and trim the tree so oh, oh, oh, where do we go? Whether you’re looking to chop down your own or choose from already cut evergreens, we have just the place for you to pick the perfect tree with your family on our list of Christmas tree farms in and around Birmingham.

Beavers Christmas Tree Farm

Beavers Christmas tree farm is a wonderful family experience! When you and your family visit, you get to select and cut down your Christmas tree, creating a life long memory. Opening day will be November 20th, with limited days of operation on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. until dark. Only cash and checks are accepted. You can also enjoy some hot chocolate for free!

Old Baker Farm

Old Baker Farm has many types of trees from Virginia Pines, to Cedars, to Fraser Firs to choose from and cut down. The tree farm will open the day after Thanksgiving, November 25th, and stay open through December 24th. Their hours are Monday-Friday from 9:00 a.m. until dark. Admission is free. They also have complimentary hot apple cider, candy canes, and a hayride through the Christmas trees!

Neely Farms is a family owned and operated choose and cut Christmas tree farm that offers a festive experience for your whole family to enjoy. Choose from Virginia Pines and Leyland Cypresses, as well as fresh cut Firs depending on availability. They open the day after Thanksgiving, November 25th, and their hours are Friday-Saturday from 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., Sunday from 1:00-5:00 p.m., and Thursday from 3:00-5:00 p.m. While you’re there, enjoy a cup of their complimentary hot cocoa or spiced tea, and watch your kids ride in the barrel cart!

Clear Creek Christmas Tree Farm

Clear Creek Christmas tree farm will be open for two days only this year–Friday, November 25th, and Saturday, November 26th, from 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. While you wait to choose your tree, you are welcome to join a hayride and/or enjoy hot chocolate.

Howell Christmas Trees has been a Birmingham tradition since 1983. The opening day will be November 21st. They are open seven days a week from 10:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m.

Poppy’s Christmas Trees

Poppy’s Christmas Trees has been serving the Birmingham area for 35 years with North Carolina trees. The opening day will be Friday, November 25th. They are open six days a week from 9:00 a.m.-9:00 p.m. On Sunday, they open at 10 a.m. If you’re ready to pick a tree here, then you better move quickly because they tend to sell out fast!
