Where to Find a COVID-19 Vaccine in Birmingham

There has been a lot of information about COVID-19, and families have questions now that vaccines are available for children ages 5 and up. We recently shared one family’s experience with a COVID vaccine HERE. We have created a quick guide to vaccine locations in Birmingham. Talk to your doctor if you have questions about vaccines.

All this information is correct at publication, but please call ahead or check social media pages to make sure locations still have vaccines in stock on the particular day you plan to go!

  1. Ritch’s Pharmacy in Mountain Brook Village: walk-ins are welcome for kids ages 5 and older Monday through Friday between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. (Incidentally, Ritch’s Pharmacy offers Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson boosters for the parents in case you need a booster yourself while you’re there)!
  2. Crestline Pharmacy in Crestline Village, Mountain Brook: walk-ins are welcome Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  3. Urgent Care for Children; various locations including Trussville, 280, and Vestavia: walk-ins and appointments are available
  4. Homewood Pharmacy in Edgewood/Homewood: walk-ins are welcome.
  5. Gentry Pharmacy in Altadena near the Colonnade: walk-ins are welcome.
  6. Ross Bridge Pharmacy in Hoover: walk-ins are welcome.
  7. Winn Dixie on Montevallo Road in Irondale.
  8. Publix; various locations: check their website to find a Publix near you offering vaccines and to book an appointment
  9. CVS Pharmacy; various locations: check their website to find a CVS (or CVS inside of Target stores) near you offering vaccines and to book an appointment.
  10. Walgreens; various locations: check their website to find a Walgreens near you offering vaccines and to book an appointment.
  11. Walmart; various locations: check their website to find a Walmart near you offering vaccines and to book an appointment.
