Celebrate the Family Expo at the Finley Center

Save the date for the 4th Annual Celebrate the Family Expo on September 16 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Finley Center, Hoover Met Complex.

Hear stories from Brenda Gantt on the Crumbl Cookies Celebrity Chef Stage at 1 p.m.
Enjoy extra added fun this year with a Crumbl Cookies Celebrity Chef Stage featuring founder of Ashley Mac’s, social media sensation Danna Standridge, BBQ Pitmaster Van Sykes, beloved Southern cook Brenda Gantt, Alabama author and outdoorsman Walt Merrell, and more. Plus the Hoover Belles and Free Face Painting are provided by Painted Personalities.

Event favorites returning include a Kids’ Zone with inflatables provided by the River of Life Church, the Chick-fil-A Herd, the Birmingham Bulls Torro, live music by Kevin Derryberry, and free shredding and electronic recycling provided by Gone for Good (a program of United Ability) from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. The Vapor Thrift Store Donation Truck will be onsite accepting donations including gently used clothes, shoes, household goods, and collectibles.

The Alabama Wildlife Center staff will also be onsite with several of their feathered friends. Gospel singer, American Idol contestant and founder of God Did It ministries, Sanchez Tanniehill will be on hand to share his miraculous life story and sign copies of his book God Did It.

Come Hungry! Food Trucks will be available for you to purchase lunch and snacks from Eugene’s Hot Chicken, Krazy Good BBQ, Lil Bougie Foodie, Southern Coffee and Waffles and Sno Biz Bham.

There will be no shortage of fun at the Expo Kids Zone including inflatables and face painting!
