Do you ever wake up in the morning, get dressed, put on makeup, and then your hair decides to be full of life, lifeless, or somewhere in between? Don’t everyone raise your hands at once! What about getting our glamorous mini-mes out the door with great, good, or let’s-really-just-make-it-through-the-day hair. Not all of us mamas or daddies are blessed with gifted hair hands, and hair comes in all types and textures. And let’s have a real honest moment: sometimes we just don’t feel like doing it. To think about doing our hair and their hair sometimes is just overwhelming. With all that being said, here I am to give you three quick and easy hair dos and additional ideas for accessories for all hair types to help our girls keep looking amazing. Have fun with these happy hair ideas for girls!

Happy Hair Ideas for Girls

Ponytails

The great thing about ponytails is that there are no rules for putting one together. They can be long, short, curly, straight, high, or low. All you need is a brush and something to hold it in place. I recommend detangling all hair before pulling it into the ponytail as well so that it looks sleeker for straight hair and fuller for ponytails. Don’t be afraid to do more than one ponytail and put them side by side or one high and one low, and don’t be afraid to add in braids or cute curls.

Buns

Buns are an essential go-to hairstyle for any girl. They are easy to do — and quick once a ponytail has been achieved. Buns, like ponytails, can be neat or messy, high or low, curly or straight; and they are easy to accessorize. Classic buns can be achieved with a bun mold that can be purchased at any beauty supply store or even at Dollar Tree, or you can DIY a mold by cutting the tops off of two crew socks (dark colors work best so that they don’t show through the hair), rolling the socks together, and creating a mold.

Braids and Twists

Braids and twists are retro styles that have come back into rotation. Girls incorporate them into everyday looks and special occasion looks. They are super easy to do and convenient. They can also last a couple of days and look okay if they get a bit messy. Of all the hairstyles, braids and twists take the most time to learn how to do technique-wise, but once you get the hang of it, you got it! They can also be mixed into ponytails and buns.

Accessories

I am such a fan of girls and accessories! They encourage girls to express themselves and still be dainty. Hair accessories like bows, ribbons, headbands, and even colorful hairpieces, make styling fun and make girls feel good. Bows with different patterns like polka dots or stripes can bring out colors on an outfit, and a colorful ribbon can make a girl stand out in a crowd. Headbands are also good accessories for sports players. Not to mention, hair accessories make great party favors and gifts!
