Born in Montgomery and raised in White Hall, Marquita is an Alabama native who came to Birmingham in 2001 to attend University of Alabama at Birmingham. Go Blazers! Marquita has worked as a Medical Laboratory Scientist in local hospitals since 2005. She married her college sweetheart and they are the parents of 3 littles ages 11, 7, and 4. To rest, recharge, and reset Marquita enjoys going for walks, sipping coffee or hot apple cider, journaling, listening to audiobooks, taking day trips, participating in community service, and cherishing time with family and friends.
