Heather Willoughby
Born and raised in Birmingham, Heather Willoughby has lived in central Alabama for most of her life. Heather received her bachelor’s degree from East Tennessee State University, and earned her Master’s and PhD from the University of Florida. Simultaneous doctoral research and Americorps service landed her back in Birmingham, where she volunteered with area youth while researching social inequalities in the metro area.
Shortly after graduation and the end of her service year, Heather dove headfirst into stay-at-home motherhood. During this time, Heather grew her education to include home gardening, beekeeping, and the practice of herbal medicine.
Now, Heather has four-year-old daughter and an 18-month-old son, and she works as a REALTORⓇ with Century 21 Advantage assisting clients with buying and selling of residential homes, land, and farms, and she’s always happy to lend both clients and friends a hand with their garden plans!
